Vinu IP Details Finder – Find Your IP Address & Location Info (“the Extension”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

Information We Collect

• The Extension accesses your public IP address and location details (city, country, ISP) to display them to you.
• No personal data like names, emails, passwords, or browsing history is collected.

Local Storage

The Extension uses the Chrome storage API to cache the IP details locally on your browser. This helps speed up repeated lookups and reduces network requests. Cached data is stored only on your device and never transmitted to third parties.

Server-side requests and remote API

Vinu IP Details Finder uses a secure remote API to obtain public IP and geolocation details. When you open the extension, we make an HTTPS request to our API endpoint (https://extensions.rejoicesoftware.in/ip-details/get_ip_details.php) to determine your public IPv4/IPv6 address, ISP name, and approximate location (city, country). The server receives only your public IP address (as provided by the HTTP request) and returns non-identifying metadata. No personal identifiers (name, email, browsing history, cookies, or credentials) are sent from your browser to our server by the extension.

Logging & retention: To operate and maintain the service we may log incoming requests for a limited time for debugging, rate-limiting and abuse prevention. Logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days and are not used to identify individual users. If you require shorter retention, contact us at vinu-ip@rejoicesoftware.in.

Third parties: We may use reputable third-party geolocation providers or analytics to enrich IP lookups. Any third-party services used are documented here and governed by their privacy policies. We do not sell or share logged IPs for advertising or profiling purposes.

Security: All API calls use HTTPS and the server is configured to only serve the endpoint(s) required for IP lookup. If you have privacy concerns, you can opt not to use the extension.

How We Use Your Information

• Your IP and location information is only displayed locally in the Extension for your convenience.
• We do not store, transmit, or share your information with third parties.

Third-Party Services

The Extension may use APIs to fetch IP and location data. These APIs are secure and do not store identifiable information.
